Over 3.3 Million Health Records Integrated into VNeID System in Ho Chi Minh City

According to the third-quarter 2026 report released by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, more than 3.3 million electronic health records citywide have been successfully integrated into the VNeID electronic identification application.

Administrative Reforms in the Healthcare Sector

Ho Chi Minh City is transitioning to smart healthcare services and data-driven governance as part of administrative reforms implemented in the health sector. In this context, a centralized data platform is being established to collect, store, manage, and analyze health information. All public and private hospitals in the city have fully completed their electronic record applications.

Collection of Demographic Data

To date, the developed system has collected critical health data belonging to various age groups. Accordingly, the health information of 55,330 children under 24 months old, 2,355,408 students, and 644,559 elderly individuals has been incorporated into the system.

VNeID Integration and Rates

A total of 3,337,323 electronic health records, accounting for 33.63% of all residents with permanent residence permits in the city, have been linked to the VNeID platform. Additionally, 110,340 referral documents and 602,285 follow-up appointment documents were successfully integrated into the system during the process.
