People's Party Announces New Health Insurance Model Specific to the TRNC
The comprehensive model, which envisions private and public health institutions operating within the same system, aims for citizens to receive equal services regardless of their income status.
The People's Party has publicly announced a General Health Insurance System model specific to the TRNC, under which citizens will be able to benefit from private hospitals and clinics as insured individuals, alongside state hospitals.
A Sustainable Structure is Targeted
In the statement made by the People's Party, it was emphasized that what is truly important in the field of healthcare is not building facilities, but establishing a sustainable system.
Joint Work with All Stakeholders
It was stated that physicians, healthcare workers, legal and social security experts, private healthcare institutions, and economists will be brought together on the same working platform in the creation of the system.
Actuarial Studies and Cost Analysis
It was expressed that by examining applications in Turkey and around the world, a model suited to the population structure of the TRNC is targeted, and actuarial studies will be conducted to determine the true cost of the system.
Social Justice and Equal Access
It was noted that everyone will have equal access to healthcare services regardless of income, and retirees, the unemployed, and students will be guaranteed on the basis of social justice.
Phased and Transparent Implementation Plan
It was reported that the General Health Insurance will be implemented through measurement and planning, and if necessary, applied in phases starting with designated services in the first stage.
