With the remote patient evaluation system launched in Diyarbakır, citizens have gained the opportunity to have video consultations with psychologists, dietitians, and physicians.

Scope and Purpose of the System

Implemented as the use of technology in healthcare services becomes widespread, the remote patient evaluation system provides convenience especially for those living in remote and rural areas, those with limited mobility, or those experiencing difficulties in accessing face-to-face healthcare services.

Appointment and Consultation Process

Those who wish to benefit from the system are first evaluated to see if they are suitable for receiving remote services. Those found eligible can make an appointment via the Central Physician Appointment System (MHRS) or through Healthy Life Centers. At the appointment time, individuals who click the link sent to their mobile phone via SMS conduct a video consultation with the healthcare professional.

Expert Opinions and Provided Conveniences

Stating that the main purpose of the system is to facilitate access to healthcare services, psychologist Süheyla Verim Azyoksul pointed out that the application provides access without space and geography barriers. Appointments can be made at Healthy Life Centers with psychologists, dietitians, physicians in the smoking cessation clinic, and social workers.
