Director of the Department of Health Ho Thi Thu Hang delivered a speech at the conference, sharing the positive results achieved by the provincial health sector in protecting public health.
Health Personnel and Doctor Ratios
While the quality of grassroots health personnel has been strengthened, the number of doctors at health centers reached 4.3 per 10,000 population, exceeding the 2026 target of 3 doctors.
This distribution alleviates the burden on upper-level hospitals while ensuring that citizens can receive timely medical services in their own regions.
Disease Control and Health Services
Preventive health services and the control of endemic diseases such as dengue fever and hand, foot, and mouth disease continue to be closely monitored.
Medical examination and treatment activities remained stable with over 690,300 visits, while the health insurance coverage rate exceeded 87 percent.
Food Safety and Screenings
Thanks to strict food safety measures implemented throughout the Mid-Autumn Festival and the new school year, no food poisoning cases were reported across the province.
Regular health check-ups and free screenings conducted for the public also reached a high rate of nearly 60 percent.
October 2026 Plans and Goals
Department of Health Director Ho Thi Thu Hang stated that periodic health check-ups and free screening efforts will be accelerated in October 2026.
Furthermore, it was emphasized that the content of the plan for the implementation of the National Health, Population, and Development Target Program for the 2026-2035 period should be finalized across the province.
Campaigns and Social Focuses
During the meeting, it was decided to effectively implement a 90-day campaign aimed at cleaning and standardizing data, as well as social assistance payments.
It was resolutely emphasized to organize swimming lessons to prevent drowning in the regions and to focus on the care of children with special needs.
