Afyonkarahisar Provincial Health Director Hakkı Öztürk answered in detail about health infrastructure projects across the city, the increase in physician staff, and allegations debated in the public eye during a local television program.

Zafer Neighborhood District Polyclinic Project

The Zafer Neighborhood District Polyclinic, whose foundation has been laid, is planned to serve residential areas in the eastern region.

The facility, which will be affiliated with Afyonkarahisar State Hospital, aims to initially have 20 specialist physicians on duty.

Cirit Kayalığı and New Hospital Works

The Healthy Life Center within the Cirit Kayalığı Nation Garden is planned to open by the end of October.

Ground safety is being handled with priority following the February 6 earthquakes in land identification studies for the New State Hospital project.

Increase in Physician Staff and Units

Over the past year, the number of specialist physicians has increased from 387 to 430, while the number of general practitioners has risen from 191 to 308.

New units such as the Closed Psychiatry Service, Interventional Radiology Unit, and Pediatric Gastroenterology have been put into service.

Cafeteria and Social Media Allegations

It was stated that the State Hospital cafeteria service is provided by a private contractor and the matter is being investigated by judicial authorities.
