Starting from the 2026-2027 academic year, student health checks will not be limited to physical measurements alone; they will also cover mental health and will be digitized.

Comprehensive Health Screening in the New Term

Student health checks are being made more comprehensive to cover both physical and mental health starting from the 2026-2027 academic year, going beyond height and weight measurements.

Expanded Evaluation Criteria

With the new regulations, the evaluation content for high school students is being expanded to include vision, hearing, musculoskeletal system, and spine health, in addition to height, weight, and blood pressure.

Additionally, neurological and mental health-related symptoms such as sadness, anxiety, prolonged insomnia, or the risk of self-harm are also being included in the evaluation process.

Digitization of Data

The results of the health checks will be gradually digitized and updated in the Ministry of Health's Health Data Portal. In this way, changes in students' health conditions can be tracked throughout their educational lives.

Inter-Institutional Coordination and Personnel

In cases where there is no school health personnel in educational institutions, schools will be able to coordinate with district-level health stations. The School Health Program for the 2026-2035 period aims to strengthen health personnel in boarding schools.
