Target Rate Exceeded in Bayburt Health Program
Significant success was achieved by exceeding the set national target in the project implemented for primary school-aged children.
Within the framework of the Healthy Child, Healthy Future program implemented in Bayburt during the 2025-2026 academic year, 23.5 percent of students across the province were reached.
Objective and Scope of the Program
Carried out jointly by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of National Education, this special program aims to instill healthy living habits in primary school-aged children from an early age and to increase their health literacy.
Topics Covered in Trainings
During the organized training sessions, critical topics such as 112 Emergency Health Services, UMKE, family medicine, oral and dental health, healthy nutrition, physical activity, personal hygiene, and protection from infectious diseases are addressed.
Raising Health Ambassadors
Children are encouraged to share important health information they acquire with their own families and surroundings, enabling them to become health ambassadors and to reinforce theoretical knowledge with practical activities.
Presentation of Certificate of Achievement
Due to significantly exceeding the national target set at 10 percent by the Ministry of Health, a certificate of appreciation was presented to Bayburt Provincial Coordinator Sevinç Şık Akkoyun, Deputy Head of Health Services, and her working team by the General Directorate of Health Promotion.
