Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf announced that the Strait of Hormuz will not be opened unless seven conditions are met, while tensions between the US and Iran over nuclear negotiations, sanctions, and the military blockade continue through diplomatic contacts.

Ghalibaf's Statement on the Strait of Hormuz

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf announced that the Strait of Hormuz will not be opened unless Iran's seven conditions based on the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding are met. Ghalibaf stated that the US has presented new proposals through a mediator, but the era of gaining time and imposing unilateral demands has come to an end.

Military and Diplomatic Messages from Tehran

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi emphasized during a meeting with ambassadors in Tehran that if their rivals choose the path of military conflict again, they will respond more strongly, but they are also ready for a fair and honorable solution. Araghchi denied reports in the US media claiming that the Iranian delegation was expelled from New York.

Deportation and Diplomatic Developments

On the other hand, a US official announced that two members of the Iranian delegation attending the UN General Assembly were deported from the US on Saturday for failing to comply with the request to leave the country.

Stern Warnings and Blockade from the US

US President Donald Trump stated that Iran cannot possess nuclear weapons, adding that the decision of whether the process will happen the easy way or the hard way is up to Iran. US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth emphasized that the US blockade in the Strait of Hormuz is tight and that control of the strait is in their hands.
