It was warned that thousands of healthcare workers could remain unemployed due to the new regulation entering into force in September and rising costs.

New Regulation and Unemployment Risk

Drawing attention to the grievances that may be experienced with the new regulation to be implemented in September, AHESEN Chairman Dr. Ahmet Kandemir emphasized that if necessary precautions are not taken, thousands of healthcare workers could become unemployed and the quality of service in family health centers could decline.

Flexible Working Hours and Additional Allowances

It was stated that with the abolition of flexible working hours, if working criteria cannot be met, the additional allowances provided in family health centers could be cut, and this situation would jeopardize the employment of additional personnel.

Grouping System and Personnel

Group A, B, and C family health centers can employ additional healthcare personnel such as midwives, nurses, and medical secretaries by benefiting from an additional budget, provided that they fulfill the conditions.

Rising Costs and Current Expenses

It was stated that the current expense allowances provided for the operation of family health centers remain insufficient to cover rising rent, fuel, electricity, and material costs.

Urgent Call to the Ministry of Health

AHESEN demanded that the Ministry of Health take a new step before the application starts and urgently implement a new regulation that will not victimize the employees.
