Drawing attention to the global structure of organized crime syndicates, the Minister of Interior stated that drug trafficking, migrant smuggling, cybercrimes, and money laundering activities are carried out across borders.

Çiftçi emphasized that next-generation crime organizations expand their fields of activity by using social media and digital facilities, and recruit members through this method.
