Teams from the Provincial Directorate of Security Narcotics Crimes Branch carried out a large-scale operation in four provinces centered in Nevşehir, following a four-month technical surveillance targeting suspects who sold drugs through social media and classified ad websites.

Background and Technical Surveillance of the Operation

The teams determined that drug trafficking was being conducted through social media platforms and classified ad websites, initiating a comprehensive technical surveillance process lasting approximately four months.

Cargo and International Shipment Methods

Investigations revealed that the narcotics were dispatched to different provinces via cargo and were brought into the country by some suspects from abroad using the body-packing method.

Simultaneous Raids and Participating Personnel

Upon the instructions of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, simultaneous operations were organized involving 214 personnel at thirty-six addresses in the provinces of Nevşehir, Istanbul, Izmir, and Antalya.

Evidence Seized During Searches

During the searches carried out, kilograms of synthetic drugs, cannabis, pills, sensitive scales, and a large amount of local and foreign currency were seized.

Status of Suspects and Procedures

Out of the thirty-four suspects detained within the scope of the operation, ten were released, while the procedures for twenty-four suspects are ongoing at the police station.
