419 Accounts and Links Sharing Obscene Content on Social Media Blocked
With the coordinated work of security units in Istanbul, numerous accounts and links spreading obscene content via social media were shut down.
In operations carried out by the Istanbul Police Department Cyber Crimes Branch under the coordination of the Informatics Crimes Investigation Bureau, 419 accounts and links determined to share obscene content on social media were blocked from access.
Access Ban Decision
Within the framework of the efforts conducted under the coordination of the Informatics Crimes Investigation Bureau, objectionable content detected on social media platforms was placed under close scrutiny.
Cyber Crime Countermeasures
A comprehensive operation was carried out by the teams of the Istanbul Police Department Cyber Crimes Branch in order to protect families, children, and young people from all kinds of abuse.
Hundreds of Accounts Closed
As a result of these comprehensive efforts, a total of 419 social media accounts determined to have made obscene posts on social media platforms and links evaluated to contain obscene content were blocked from access.
