The driver who caused the death of one person and injuries in Beşiktaş in 2016 requested an acquittal by using a cane during the trial. However, as a result of examining images on his social media accounts, it was determined that he tried to mislead the court, and the defendant was arrested.

In the accident that occurred in Beşiktaş, Istanbul, on March 26, 2016, the car driven by Berkay Beyaz overturned and fell on dentist Mustafa Tırhan Tiryaki. As a result of the incident, Tiryaki lost his life, and damage and injuries occurred in the vehicles.
Cane Defense in Court
Attending the hearing at the 11th High Criminal Court of Istanbul with the help of a security guard and using a cane, the defendant Berkay Beyaz claimed that he had difficulty walking and requested his acquittal. Taking into account the suspicion of flight and his attitude in court, the defendant was arrested in the courtroom, and his driver's license was confiscated for 3 years.
