Driver Penalized for Performing Acrobatic Stunts on Highway in Hatay
A vehicle driver who published dangerous maneuvers performed on the highway on social media was identified and penalized by gendarmerie teams.
In Hatay's Dörtyol district, a driver who endangered traffic safety by performing acrobatic stunts on the highway and shared these moments on his social media account was fined and had his driver's license confiscated.
Footage on Social Media Reviewed
Teams from the Hatay Provincial Gendarmerie Command examined social media shares regarding dangerous driving performed on the O-53 Highway in the Dörtyol district on September 17.
Driver's Identity and Violation Determined
As a result of the investigations, it was officially determined that the acrobatic stunts endangering traffic safety were performed by an individual named Y.P. and that the rules were violated.
Fine and Confiscation of License
The driver, who flouted traffic rules, was issued a total administrative fine of 29,719 Turkish Liras by the security forces.
In addition to the penal procedures applied, it was reported that the driver's license was confiscated by the relevant authorities for a period of 60 days.
Judicial Process Ongoing
It was stated that the judicial proceedings initiated regarding this incident, which endangered traffic safety, are being continued by the authorized bodies.
