Scottish traveler Lesley Payne and her boyfriend, who were traveling by bicycle from Italy to Georgia, pitched a tent inside the 11th-century cave church located in the Göreme town of Nevşehir and spent the night inside the historical structure.

Despite legal prohibitions, the couple, who lit a fire and stayed inside the historic church, published footage of the moments they watched hot air balloons at sunrise on their social media accounts with approximately 20,000 followers.

In her social media post, Payne stated that the moment she experienced had a surreal atmosphere, noting that the environment was very peaceful and definitely one of the best experiences of her life.
