Suspect arrested in Gaziantep for obscene social media post
An individual identified as sharing obscene content via social media accounts in Gaziantep was caught in a gendarmerie operation and sent to prison.
During a cybercrime operation conducted by the Gaziantep Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams, a suspect named H.B., who was determined to have shared obscene images on social media, was caught in the Şehitkâmil district and arrested.
Background of the Operation
Action was taken as a result of work carried out under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the Gaziantep Provincial Gendarmerie Command Cyber Crimes Branch Directorate. The identity and location of the person publishing obscene content on social media platforms were determined.
Conducted Operation
Following meticulous tracking by security forces, the address where the suspect was located in the Şehitkâmil district was identified. With a raid carried out at the determined address, the suspect named H.B. was caught and detained.

Criminal evidence was reached during search efforts carried out at the suspect's residence. 1 mobile phone, 1 sim card, 1 computer, 2 hard drives, 1 USB memory stick, and 1 modem found in the house were confiscated.
