Turkish Football Federation Board Member Mevlüt Aktan Resigns
Mevlüt Aktan announced his departure from his post at the TFF via social media while also inviting the current administration to resign.
Mevlüt Aktan, Board Member Responsible for Strategic Planning and Development at the Turkish Football Federation, announced that he was leaving his post through a statement on his social media account and called for an extraordinary elective general assembly.
The Resignation Process at the TFF
Following the arrest of Central Arbitration Board President Ferhat Gündoğdu, eventful days continue within the Turkish Football Federation. Following the recent resignation of Ural Aküzüm, Mevlüt Aktan, Board Member Responsible for Strategic Planning and Development, also announced that he was leaving his post.
Mevlüt Aktan's Resignation Statement
In a post on his social media account, Mevlüt Aktan stated that the current administration could not display the knowledge, experience, and vision required by the duty. Stating that it could not fulfill any of the promises it made, Aktan emphasized his conviction that the administration has become dysfunctional.
Resignation and Election Call to the Administration
In his statement, Aktan invited the current administration to resign and argued that the federation should be restructured based on the principles of merit, transparency, and accountability. He stated that an extraordinary elective general assembly must be convened as soon as possible for the future of Turkish football.
