Bahamian astronaut Bowe evaluated the space potential of youth during his visit to Turkey
NASA-affiliated scientific payload operator and former rocket engineer Bowe drew attention to the talents of Turkish youth in the field of space during his contacts in Turkey.
Participating in Blue Origin's suborbital flight and serving as a NASA-affiliated scientific payload operator, Bowe stated during his visit to Turkey that the youth are quite talented in space matters.
Space Camp and Student Meetings
NASA's former rocket engineer and entrepreneur Bowe visited Space Camp Turkey in Izmir and came together with students. During the visit, Bowe shared his experiences regarding space studies and scientific experiments, and examined the simulators and training program at the center.
Contacts and Meetings in Turkey
Carrying out various contacts in Bursa, Istanbul, and Adana within the framework of his Turkey program, Bowe evaluated the country's breakthroughs in aviation and space, as well as the contributions of microgravity experiments to world agriculture.
Multidisciplinary Space Sector
Stating that the space sector has transformed into a multidisciplinary field, Bowe pointed out that there is a strong interest in this field in Turkey. Bowe emphasized that the concept of the impossible is merely an idea.
Broad Participation for Future Missions
Stating that not everyone has to go to space, Bowe expressed that doctors, lawyers, psychologists, and individuals from various professional groups are also needed in space missions.
International Collaborations and Sources of Inspiration
Stating that astronaut Alper Gezeravci's scientific mission was an important source of inspiration, Bowe noted that Turkey's accession to the Artemis Accords and the involvement of individuals of Turkish descent in missions hold opportunities for the future.
