16th Brotherhood and Sports Festival Held in Kastamonu
The traditional five-day event organized by the İlim Yayma Cemiyeti concluded with the participation of hundreds of students.
The 16th Brotherhood and Sports Festival, organized by the İlim Yayma Cemiyeti, came to an end with an awards ceremony held at the Yolkonak Camp in Kastamonu.
Details of the Festival
The 16th Brotherhood and Sports Festival, organized by the İlim Yayma Cemiyeti, took place at the Yolkonak Camp belonging to the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Participant Information
A total of 256 people, consisting of 222 students from 15 secondary education dormitories in Istanbul as well as dormitory directors, assistant administrators, and resident supervisors, took part in the festival.
Opening and Program Flow
The first day of the program began with the participants settling into the camp and the opening ceremony.
Following the speeches by program coordinators and dormitory directors Mahmut Kaya, Mustafa Madak, and Muhammet İnce, the competitions got underway.
Sports and Cultural Competitions
Over the course of five days, students competed fiercely in areas such as football, volleyball, chess, table tennis, darts, basketball shooting, and running.
Additionally, sack races, tug-of-war, arm wrestling, penalty shootouts, Quran recitation and call to prayer (adhan) contests, as well as quiz shows, were held.
Closing and Awards Ceremony
The closing and awards ceremony of the festival was held with the participation of headquarters executives, and awards were presented to those who ranked in the competitions.
