The Alanyaspor Club issued a written statement regarding the referee decisions in the Göztepe match played in the fifth week of the Süper Lig, arguing that they lost two points.

Göztepe Match and Referee Decisions

In an official written statement made by the Alanyaspor Club on September 18, 2026, the referee decisions in the Göztepe match, which was played on September 12 in the 5th week of the Süper Lig and ended in a 2-2 draw, were criticized.

In the statement, it was claimed that the controversial decisions made against them by match referee Ozan Ergün and the overlooking of clear positions inside the penalty box directly led to the loss of 2 points.

Controversial Positions and Penalty Appeals

It was stated that in the 51st minute of the match, an opposing player blocked the direction of the ball with his arm, but referee Ozan Ergün failed to catch this position.

While it was emphasized that the intentional intervention against İbrahim inside the penalty area in the 84th minute was a clear penalty, it was stated that the referee decided to let play continue.

Call to the Central Referee Board

Following the referee controversies, the Alanyaspor management demanded that the Central Referee Board and the Turkish refereeing community maintain an equal distance from all clubs.

In the evaluation made by the club, it was hoped that referees would exhibit a fairer and more impartial management approach in the upcoming process.
