Beşiktaş Becomes the First Champion of the Men's Handball Presidential Cup
In the cup organized under the auspices of the Presidency for the first time in Turkish handball history, Beşiktaş won the championship in the men's category, while Armada Praxis Yalıkavak claimed the title in the women's category.
The thrilling finals of the THF Presidential Cup, held under the auspices of the Presidency for the first time in Turkish handball history, have concluded. Following the matches played at the Prof. Dr. Yaşar Sevim Handball Hall in Ankara, Beşiktaş won the cup in the men's category, while Armada Praxis Yalıkavak claimed it in the women's category.
First Organization Under Presidential Auspices
The THF Presidential Cup finals, organized under the auspices of the Presidency for the first time in Turkish handball history, were held in the capital. The event, held at the Prof. Dr. Yaşar Sevim Handball Hall in Ankara, was followed with great interest by the handball community.
Beşiktaş Victory in Men's Final
In the final match of the men's category, Beşiktaş faced Bursa Nilüfer Belediyespor. Closing the first half of the match ahead 19-17, the black-and-white team won the match 38-32, becoming the first men's handball team to win the cup.
In the match, black-and-white player Bogdan stood out with 11 goals, and Bogdan Radivojevic was selected as the player of the match. Tolga from Nilüfer Belediyespor received a red card during the game.
Yalıkavak Championship in Women's Category
In the women's final, Bursa Büyükşehir Belediyespor and Armada Praxis Yalıkavak faced off. Finishing the first half ahead 20-18, Yalıkavak won the highly competitive match 34-31, earning the title of the first women's handball team to bring the cup to their museum.
In the Armada Praxis Yalıkavak team, Gülcan Tügel drew attention by scoring 10 goals and played a key role in the victory.
Cup Ceremonies and Congratulatory Messages
Following the men's final, the championship cup was presented to Beşiktaş by Bekir Keleş, Presidential Director General of Law and Legislation, Enes Eminoğlu, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, and Mesut Çebi, President of the Turkish Handball Federation.
The cup for the women's final was presented with the participation of Deputy Ministers of Youth and Sports Safa Koçoğlu Gürsoy and Hamza Yerlikaya, and TBMM Commission Chairman Mustafa Varank. Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak congratulated both champion clubs in a published message.
