Comprehensive maintenance and repair work carried out by the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality at the Celal Atik Sports Hall located within Kültürpark has been completed.
Comprehensive Renovation Works
With the work carried out by the teams of the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Department of Science Affairs, the Celal Atik Sports Hall in Kültürpark was completely renovated.
As a result of these comprehensive maintenance and repair activities, the hall was transformed into a much safer and more modern structure for athletes and citizens.
FIBA Standards Flooring
The flooring of the main sports court of approximately one thousand square meters inside the hall was completely dismantled and rebuilt in compliance with international standards.
Following the arrangements made, this court, which hosts basketball and volleyball branches, achieved an approved sports flooring fully compliant with FIBA standards.
Roof and Interior Facade Arrangement
By applying spray polyurea-based waterproofing to the approximately 3,500 square meter roof surface, the structure was protected against external weather conditions.
In addition, the interior facade area of approximately 2,000 square meters was painted from top to bottom to ensure the spaces achieved a more spacious and clean appearance.
Energy Saving and Security
High-efficiency fixtures were installed in place of the old projectors, reducing electricity consumption in lighting and achieving an approximately 66 percent savings.
At the same time, in order to increase fire safety, the fire water tank and booster systems were renewed, and the pool mechanisms were also modernized.
