Fenerbahçe board members shared details of the stadium capacity increase and economic investments on the club's television channel.
Fenerbahçe Board Members appeared as guests on the club's television channel ahead of the Ordinary General Assembly to brief the community on the major project that will increase the stadium capacity to 64,000 people, as well as details of various economic investments.
Television Broadcast Ahead of the General Assembly
Board Members Nihat Özbağı, Fatih Öztürk, Özgür Peker, Yusuf Buğra Tanık, and Fenerbahçe Football Inc. Board Member İsmail Balcı were guests on Fenerbahçe Television prior to the Ordinary General Assembly held on Sunday, September 27.
Stadium Capacity Increase and Project Details
Board Member Nihat Özbağı stated that the capacity of the Chobani Stadium Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex will be increased from 48,000 to 64,000, making it Turkey's largest club-based stadium in terms of capacity.
Özbağı stated that the total cost of the project is 50 million Euros, that it will generate 25 million Euros in additional annual revenue to pay for itself in two years, and that the new stadium will be ready for the 2027-2028 season.
Other Investments to Contribute to the Economy
During the broadcast, the executives also shared details of steps that will contribute to the club's economy, such as the COVE 1907 Project, the Fenerbahçe Museum, Fenerbahçe University, the Metin Aşık Camp Building, the Dereağzı Lefter Küçükandonyadis Olympic Academy Project, and Meydan 1907.
