Construction of Karatay Sports Center Nears Completion
The Karatay Sports Center, implemented in Konya, is rising rapidly on an area of 26,000 square meters to strengthen the region's sports infrastructure.
Construction works are nearing completion on the Karatay Sports Center, built by Karatay Municipality in Konya, which stands as the highest-budget investment in the district's history.
Mayor Kılca Inspected the Works
Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca visited the ongoing facility on-site, received information from officials about the ongoing works, and personally inspected the latest stage reached.
Comprehensive Sports Facilities Will Be Included
The center, which has a construction area of 26,000 square meters, will offer modern facilities such as a semi-olympic swimming pool, an indoor sports hall, an archery area, and various indoor sports.
FIFA Standard Pitch and Disciplines
The facility will also feature an artificial turf pitch suitable for professional matches, an 8,584-square-meter open football field meeting FIFA standards, as well as basketball and volleyball courts.
Eco-Friendly and Sustainable Energy
Thanks to the 400-kilowatt solar power plant installed on its roof, the Karatay Sports Center will produce a significant portion of its own energy and contribute to energy savings.
