Double Triumph for Fenerbahçe at the Seniors Turkey Championship
Hundreds of athletes from 20 clubs competed fiercely in the organization held in Edirne, where the yellow-navy club achieved a major success.
Hosted by Edirne on the Maritsa River between September 25-27, the Seniors Turkey Championship has concluded. In the season's most important rowing event, the Fenerbahçe Rowing Branch secured a double championship by finishing at the top in both the men's and women's categories.
Championship Excitement Experienced in Edirne
Ranked among the season's most critical events, the Seniors Turkey Championship took place on the waters of the Maritsa River, hosted by Edirne. Held between September 25-27, the races witnessed fierce competition.
Twenty Clubs and Two Hundred Athletes Competed
A total of 20 clubs and 200 athletes from across Turkey participated in the organization. The rowers displayed great performance to rank high in the fiercely contested races.
Tenth Consecutive Championship in Men
The Fenerbahçe Rowing Branch established great dominance by winning 7 out of the 9 races it participated in the men's category. With this result, it reached its 45th national championship in total and its 10th consecutive one in the men's category, accumulating 890 points.
Historic Streak Continued in Women
In the women's category, the yellow-navy team completed 3 out of 5 races with victories, obtaining 370 points. Thus, the women's team added its 31st national championship in total and its 8th consecutive one to its record.
Points Standings Formed in General Rankings
In the men's category, Galatasaray finished second with 508 points, while TED Edirne College took third place with 378 points. In the women's category, Galatasaray claimed the second step with 140 points, and Haliç Rowing Sports Club placed third with 100 points.
