Emphasis on 4 Billion Lira Investment at Sports Summit Held in Malatya
Ongoing billion-lira investments and future projects for the city were discussed at the Sports Summit hosted by the Malatya Metropolitan Municipality.
Hosted by the Malatya Metropolitan Municipality and moderated by TRT Sports Announcer Erdoğan Arıkan, the Sports Summit was held. Speaking at the summit, Metropolitan Mayor Sami Er stated that 4 billion liras worth of sports investments are ongoing in the city.

The program, hosted by the Malatya Metropolitan Municipality at the Central Sports Hall, was moderated by TRT Sports Announcer Erdoğan Arıkan. Important evaluations regarding the city's sports infrastructure were made during the program.
Billion-Lira Sports Investments
Stating that they are building the city of the future in the earthquake-affected city, Metropolitan Mayor Sami Er announced that a total of 4 billion liras worth of sports investments are underway. Er noted that 2.5 billion liras of investments are nearing completion, and new investment protocols worth 1.5 billion liras are also ready.
New Sports Facilities and Goals
Conveying that the construction of approximately 43 sports facilities is ongoing in the city, Sami Er said that 6 of these are complexes featuring semi-olympic pools and facilities where major volleyball and basketball matches will be held. Er stated that their goal is to protect youth from bad habits and make Malatya ambitious in every branch of sports.
Statements on Malatya from Former Footballers
Attending the summit, former footballer Hamdi Mandıralı stated that Malatya is a city worthy of the Süper Lig, while Ahmet Dursun emphasized that the city is a football city and significant investments are being made. Tanju Çolak congratulated Hatice Akbaş, a national boxer from Malatya, and stated that they plan to establish the Metropolitan Municipality Football Academy.

Following the speeches, Metropolitan Mayor Sami Er presented Yeşilyurt Belediyespor jerseys and apricots to TRT Sports Announcer Erdoğan Arıkan and former footballers Tanju Çolak, Hamdi Mandıralı, and Ahmet Dursun.
