Fenerbahce Men's Basketball Team Announced New Season Goals

The Fenerbahce Men's Basketball Team met with members of the press ahead of the new season at the Fenerbahce Basketball Museum inside the Ulker Sports and Event Hall. During the meeting, management, the coaching staff, and players shared their expectations and goals for the new period with the public.

The Fenerbahce Men's Basketball Team held a pre-season media day and press conference at the Fenerbahce Basketball Museum inside the Ulker Sports and Event Hall. Club officials and players were present at the meeting.

The organization featured Fenerbahce General Manager Derya Yannier, Head Coach Sarunas Jasikevicius, Team Captain Melih Mahmutoglu, as well as new transfers and players.

Roster Structure and Goals

General Manager Derya Yannier stated that the team experienced more roster changes than usual and built a renewed structure, entering a season where they will fight to win every trophy.

Yannier also evaluated topics such as the Super Cup organization in Abu Dhabi, fixture congestion, the club's financial sustainability, and the NBA Europe agenda.

Head Coach's Assessments

Head Coach Sarunas Jasikevicius expressed that alongside opportunities in the transfer market, they focused on more decisive and experienced players from positions 1 to 5.

Stating that they aim to eliminate the easy scoring mistakes made on defense last season, Jasikevicius emphasized that they need to be patient and work very hard during this process.

Players' Views on the New Season

Captain Melih Mahmutoglu stated that they finished last season with a championship and are setting out with the same goals this season, while also celebrating the women's volleyball team's success.

New transfers Nicolo Melli, Wade Baldwin IV, Talen Horton-Tucker, Braxton Key, and Shane Larkin drew attention to the team's high targets, belief in the Final Four, and championship objectives.
