The yellow-navy team's challenging eight-week European league phase match schedule and the tournament's new status have been announced.
Fenerbahçe's eight-week league phase fixtures in the UEFA Champions League have been officially announced, and the team will play its first match at home.
First Match Against Roma
Fenerbahçe will play its first match of the Champions League league phase at home against Roma on Thursday evening, September 10, at 19:45.
October and November Matches
The yellow-navy team will be the guest of Aston Villa away on Wednesday, October 14 for their second match, and will host Slavia Prague on Tuesday, October 20 for their third match.
In the fourth-week match, they will face Liverpool at home on Wednesday, November 4.
Remaining Matches of the Group Stage
The team will play its fifth match away against Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday, November 25, and will face LASK away on Wednesday, December 9 for its sixth match.
Hosting Villarreal on Wednesday, January 20 for the seventh week, the team will play its eighth and final match away against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday, January 27.
Champions League New Format
In the tournament featuring a total of 36 teams, each side will compete against eight different opponents, four at home and four away.
Teams finishing in the top eight of the overall standings will advance directly to the round of 16, while teams ranking between 9th and 24th will play in the play-offs.
