Foundation Laid for the Naim Süleymanoğlu Youth, Sports and Life Center in Sultangazi

The groundbreaking ceremony was held for the Youth, Sports and Life Center, named after national athlete Naim Süleymanoğlu, spanning an approximately 25,000-square-meter construction area in Sultangazi's Cebeci Neighborhood.

Chess Visit Prior to the Ceremony

Arriving in Sultangazi to attend the opening, Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Osman Aşkın Bak visited the 9th International Istanbul Open Chess Tournament before the groundbreaking ceremony. During the visit, Minister Bak was accompanied by Sultangazi Mayor Abdurrahman Dursun.

Details of the Billion-Lira Investment

In his speech at the groundbreaking ceremony, Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Osman Aşkın Bak emphasized that the project was brought to life with an investment ranging between approximately 900 million and 1 billion TL. The complex aims to make a major contribution to the sports infrastructure in the region.

Rich Amenity Areas

The new life center features numerous amenities, including a main sports hall with a capacity of 1,500 people, auxiliary halls for various branches, basketball, volleyball, taekwondo, wrestling, and table tennis halls, as well as a semi-olympic swimming pool.

Comprehensive Service for the Region

Sultangazi Mayor Abdurrahman Dursun stated that the facility will serve the entire district, primarily the Cebeci Neighborhood. The project also includes a library, a youth center, and a parking lot with a capacity of 250 vehicles.
