Galatasaray starts work to renovate Rams Park pitch
The pitch at Rams Park, which has faced criticism since the beginning of the season, was completely removed following the Kocaeli match, with the target of having it ready for the Barcelona fixture.
Galatasaray took action to renovate the damaged pitch at Rams Park, which has been criticized since the start of the season and turned into a dirt field, removing the existing grass after the Kocaeli match.
Pitch Criticism and the Kocaeli Match
The pitch at Rams Park, which has been the focus of criticism since the beginning of the season, made things easier for opponents while also making it difficult for technical players to pass the ball.
The button was pressed when it became clearly visible during the recent Kocaeli match that two players could not properly pass the ball to each other and the ball was bouncing along.
Maintenance Work and Barcelona Target
Immediately after the match, the poor grass covering the entire field was removed, and work was initiated to lay new grass during the international break period.
The new pitch, which will be strengthened with artificial sunlight, is planned to be ready for the critical Champions League match against Barcelona.
Reason for Pitch Deterioration
It is stated that the biggest factor reducing the stadium pitch to this condition was the disruption of maintenance and replacement work that should have been done in the summer due to financial costs.
