GSB Sports and Youth Activities Season Completed in Elazığ
GSB Sports Schools, Barrier-Free Sports Schools, and various courses held with the participation of youth in the center, districts, and towns of Elazığ have successfully concluded.
Within the scope of Ministry of Youth and Sports projects, sports schools, swimming courses, and youth center activities organized throughout Elazığ have been completed. Throughout the season, a total of 14,647 children and youth in the center, 10 districts, and two towns benefited from sporting, artistic, and cultural events.
Scope of Projects and Activities
Projects implemented by the Ministry of Youth and Sports to increase children's access to sports and contribute to their development have been completed in Elazığ. The work was carried out under the coordination of the Elazığ Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports.
Branches Offered in the Center
Training was provided in 24 different branches, ranging from athletics to swimming, under the GSB Sports Schools in the center of Elazığ. In addition, a large number of registrations were received within the scope of GSB Barrier-Free Sports Schools and the 'No One Who Can't Swim' Project.
Youth Center Courses
Courses in 12 different fields, ranging from robotic coding to music and art, were organized at the Muammer Faruk Salgar Youth Center. A total of 1,200 registrations were made for these courses, supporting the artistic aspects of the youth.
District and Town Activities
Hundreds of children in the facilities of Elazığ's 10 districts and the towns of Akçakiraz and Yazıkonak also met with sports and cultural activities. The events, spread over a wide geography, continued throughout the summer.
Coach Staff and Evaluation
A total of 138 experts, including 75 permanent staff and 63 EYS coaches, took part in the activities. Provincial Director Abdulsamet Eren stated that they care about children growing up intertwined with sports and art.
