Minister Bak Reacts to Cancellation of Sports Camp in the TRNC

Youth and Sports Minister Osman Aşkın Bak, speaking at the launch of the New Atatürk Stadium and Sports Complex, addressed the cancellation of the planned Barcelona football camp in the TRNC and emphasized that they are against preventing children from doing sports.

Turkish Youth and Sports Minister Osman Aşkın Bak made important evaluations during the launch program of the New Atatürk Stadium and Sports Complex.

At this launch, youth sports activities and institutionalization moves in the country were discussed.

Reaction to Camp Cancellation

Minister Bak touched upon the process regarding the cancellation of the Barcelona football camp, which was recently planned to be held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Following this development, he stated that they would never allow obstacles to be placed in front of children and young people doing sports.

Support for Cypriot Turkish Youth

Stating that no one can prevent children from doing sports, Osman Aşkın Bak reiterated Turkey's support for the Cypriot Turkish youth.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel had announced that following the cancellation of the Barcelona camp, Turkish clubs and the A National Football Team coaches would meet with the children.

He noted that as the Ministry, they will always stand by young people so that they can benefit from sports opportunities in the best way possible.

He stated that they will continue to support the development of children through the unifying power of sports.
