The Ministry of Youth and Sports continues to bring young people together with the country's deep-rooted past within the framework of the Civilization, History and Culture Camps and the Çanakkale is an Epic program it has implemented.
Ahlat Youth Camp Activities
Civilization, History and Culture Camps organized at the Bitlis Ahlat Youth Camp enable young people to get a close look at Anatolia's deeply rooted civilizational heritage.
Historical Sites Visited
Camp participants visit many important points such as the Seljuk Cemetery, Emir Bayındır Tomb, Ahlat Museum, Bitlis Castle, and İhlasiye Madrasah.
2026 Ahlat Camp Statistics
In 2026, a total of 3,682 young people benefited from these programs across 19 periods at the Bitlis Ahlat Youth Camp.
It was reported that a total quota of 2,090 people has been allocated for 11 new periods to be held during the remainder of the year.
Objectives of the Çanakkale Program
Conducted under the instructions of Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Osman Aşkın Bak, the Çanakkale is an Epic program transmits the traces of the national struggle to the youth.
Çanakkale Visitor Data
While 110,000 young people benefited from the program in 2025, it is targeted that 130,000 young people will participate in 2026.
It was announced that 82,400 young people participated in the 2026 activities, which started in February, as of August 23.
