Incident Occurred in Sancaktepe
In the incident that took place on Sevenler Street in Abdurrahmangazi Neighborhood in Sancaktepe, Istanbul, an argument broke out for an as-yet-unknown reason between 39-year-old Funda Karaçelik Bakış and her 21-year-old former employee Zehra G.
As the argument escalated, Funda Bakış was stabbed in the chest and, despite all interventions by medical teams arriving at the scene, could not be saved and lost her life.
Debt Dispute Detail
Within the scope of the ongoing investigation, it was determined that the murder was behind a debt dispute. It was ascertained that Zehra G. had taken out a loan and given money to Bakış during the period she worked at Bakış's gym.
It was reported that tension arose between the two individuals over this money issue, and the argument escalated over this hostility, turning into a knife attack.
Suspects Detained
As a result of the work carried out by police teams, Zehra G., who was stated to have carried out the attack, along with individuals named A.H.U. and E.Ş., who were determined to be connected to the incident, were also apprehended.
It was reported that all three suspects were 21 years old and were referred to the courthouse after the completion of their procedures at the Homicide Bureau.
Farewell from the Gymnastics Federation
The Turkish Gymnastics Federation published a condolence message following the national coach's passing, sharing the deep sorrow experienced by the sports community.
It was announced that the deceased's funeral was buried in the Yeni Doğan New Cemetery following the afternoon prayer performed at the Halilurahman Mosque in Sancaktepe.
