New facility initiative by FIFA in Palestine
With the support of FIFA and Switzerland, two mini-pitches have entered service in the West Bank and a tournament has been planned for children in the region.
FIFA, in cooperation with the Palestinian Football Association and with the support of Switzerland, has opened two new FIFA Arena mini-pitches in the West Bank towns of Marah Rabah and Qusin.
New pitches in the West Bank
Two new FIFA Arena mini-pitches have entered service in Qusin in the northern West Bank and Marah Rabah south of Bethlehem. These facilities offer safe and accessible spaces for the local community.
Children's Cup excitement
A five-day tournament is planned to be held at the newly opened mini-pitches with the participation of more than 150 children. The Unity for Peace: Children's Cup event will bring together 14 local teams.
Message from the FIFA President
FIFA President Gianni Infantino emphasized the importance of children having spaces where they can play sports in communities where life is disrupted by restrictions.
Goals of the global project
Within the scope of the FIFA Arena project launched in 2025, it is aimed to put at least a thousand pitches into service in 100 countries by the year 2031.
