New Sports Complex Being Built in Kartepe Fatih Sultan Mehmet Neighborhood
A modern sports complex started by the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality in Kartepe will be completed in 240 days with its fields in various branches and social areas.
The Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality is building a new modern sports complex on an area of 8,567 square meters in Kartepe's Fatih Sultan Mehmet Neighborhood to contribute to the upbringing of youth and athletes.
Project Area and Structural Features
The sports facility to be implemented in Kartepe Fatih Sultan Mehmet Neighborhood has been planned to have a total surface area of 8,567.36 square meters.
Social Amenities Inside the Facility
The structure, which has a reinforced concrete load-bearing system, will feature a 343-square-meter construction area and will house a fitness room and a local cafe. Additionally, the project will include two locker rooms, restrooms including one for individuals with disabilities and other wet areas, as well as a 50-person grandstand on the western facade.
Sports Fields and Disciplines
Within the scope of the project, a 37x56 meter synthetic turf football pitch, a 26x15 meter futsal court, a 15x28 meter basketball court, and a 9x18 meter volleyball court will be constructed. The facility will also serve with a special area where fitness equipment is located.
Landscaping and Completion Period
Landscaping will be carried out around the sports areas with a total of 18 covered benches for citizens' use, a 53-square-meter teahouse, and the planting of 657 saplings. The facility, whose construction excavations have started, is planned to be completed in 240 days.
