New Sports Facilities Opened and Groundbreaking Ceremony Held in Sultanbeyli
Şehit Üsteğmen Rahim Çelik Sports Complex was put into service to direct youth towards sports in the district, and the foundations of two new facilities were laid.
Within the scope of projects implemented to strengthen the sports infrastructure in Sultanbeyli, the official opening of Şehit Üsteğmen Rahim Çelik Sports Complex, 15 multi-purpose sports fields, and Winter Sports Schools was held, while the foundations of two new facilities were laid.
Mass Opening and Groundbreaking Ceremony
Projects implemented to strengthen the sports infrastructure in Sultanbeyli and encourage youth to engage in sports were presented to the public with a joint opening and groundbreaking ceremony.
Held with the Participation of Protocol
Hosted by Mayor Ali Tombaş at the Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan Cultural Center, the ceremony was attended by Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Osman Aşkın Bak, Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, members of parliament, and numerous citizens.
Completed Facilities and Openings
The official openings of the approximately 7,000-square-meter Şehit Üsteğmen Rahim Çelik Sports Complex, 15 multi-purpose sports fields built at various points in the district, and Winter Sports Schools were held.
Foundations of New Projects Laid
Within the scope of the program, the foundations of the Battalgazi and Fatih Sports Complexes were also laid, and the promotional launch of the Sultanbeyli Belediyespor Men's Volleyball Team, which will compete in the Efeler League, was held.
Statements from Minister Bak
Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Osman Aşkın Bak stated that they actively use sports to keep children and youth away from digital addiction, and expressed that they will complete the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Sports Complex by the end of January.
Goals and Conclusion
Sultanbeyli Mayor Ali Tombaş stated that they aim to increase the number of licensed athletes from 7,000 to 20,000, while the program concluded with the cutting of ribbons and the taking of commemorative photos.
