One person killed in armed attack at a gym in Brazil

In an armed attack at a gym in São José dos Campos, Brazil, 33-year-old Evandro Luiz Prudente lost his life. While numerous empty cartridge cases were found at the scene, the fleeing suspects were captured in an operation carried out in a neighboring state.

Armed Attack at the Gym

An armed attack took place at around 1:57 PM in the afternoon at a gym located on Rui Barbosa Boulevard in the city of São José dos Campos, Brazil.

33-year-old Evandro Luiz Prudente, who was busy with his phone at the reception desk, became the target of an attacker wearing a helmet, and the gunman pulled the trigger repeatedly.

Evidence at the Scene

The gunman who carried out the attack managed to flee the scene quickly on a motorcycle driven by his accomplice waiting outside.

As a result of checks made by medical teams, it was determined that Evandro Luiz Prudente lost his life at the scene, and the investigation revealed 16 empty cartridge cases.

Capture of the Suspects

As a result of the successful operation conducted by the Civil Police teams, the suspects connected to the incident were taken under surveillance shortly after.

Three suspects inside a vehicle stopped in the Itatiaia region on the border of Rio de Janeiro state were detained.

The Motive Behind the Murder

As a result of research conducted by security forces, it was revealed that the motive behind this murder was allegations of usury and threats.
