Provincial Sports Security Board Meeting Held for the New Season in Manisa
Comprehensive measures were discussed in Manisa to ensure that upcoming sports competitions in the new season proceed peacefully and safely.
The Provincial Sports Security Board Meeting was held under the chairmanship of Governor Vahdettin Özkan to ensure that the competitions in the 2026-2027 sports season in Manisa are conducted in a safe environment.
Participants and Objective of the Meeting
The meeting, held at the Governorate Briefing Hall, was attended by Governor Vahdettin Özkan, as well as Deputy Governor Mehmet Eriş, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Brigadier General İlhan Şen, Provincial Police Chief Adnan Karayel, Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Yunus Öztürk, and board members. Security measures to be taken in the new season were evaluated during the meeting.
Risk Analyses and Security Levels
The issues of conducting risk analyses before each upcoming competition, determining the risk scores of the competitions, and planning and implementing necessary security measures based on the determined risk levels were comprehensively addressed.
Condition of Sports Facilities and Deficiencies
The current security conditions of sports facilities in the city center and districts were discussed. It was decided to address the deficiencies identified in the facilities, prioritize urgent deficiencies, and resolve them through inter-institutional coordination.
Inter-Institutional Cooperation and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the Provincial Police Department, Provincial Gendarmerie Command, Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, Metropolitan Municipality, Provincial Health Directorate, and sports clubs were discussed, and the importance of maintaining effective inter-institutional coordination was emphasized.
Prevention of Violence and Disorder in Sports
Measures to be taken to prevent undesirable incidents within the scope of Law No. 6222 on the Prevention of Violence and Disorder in Sports, as well as the causes of incidents and proposed solutions, were evaluated in detail.
