Sports and Infrastructure Investments Across Yalova Gain Momentum
At a meeting held in Yalova, the financing details of projects carried out to strengthen the city's sports infrastructure and protect water resources were shared with the public.
Yalova Governor Ahmet Hamdi Usta announced that approximately 187 million liras of resources have been allocated for sports facilities and supports within the body of the Special Provincial Administration. Through ministerial initiatives, a total of 420 million liras of investment funding has been secured for the city.
Total Investment Funding Provided to Yalova
Yalova Governor Ahmet Hamdi Usta explained the planned projects and investments across the city during a meeting held at the governorate building. It was stated that approximately 420 million liras of investment were brought to the city as a result of initiatives before the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Allocations for Villages and Schools
Within the scope of the ongoing works, 28 million liras of funding was provided for the construction of mini-purpose sports facilities in 10 villages. Additionally, a total allocation of 25 million liras was made to strengthen the sports infrastructure of schools.
Hacımehmet Village Indoor Sports Hall Project
The indoor sports hall project in Hacımehmet village, initially planned with a cost of 50 million liras, was expanded. The facility, which has a capacity of 500 spectators and is suitable for official competitions, had its cost increased to 110 million liras and its foundation was laid.
Social Amenities Carried Out in Villages
Approximately 18 million liras of funding was generated for a complex that will include social amenity areas and sports fields in Fıstıklı village, affiliated with the Armutlu district. New stands were also built for the football fields in Akköy, Safran, and Sugören.
Equipment Support for Amateur Clubs and Schools
It was decided to provide approximately 858 thousand liras in equipment support to amateur sports clubs in the city. In cooperation with the National Education Directorate, an additional allocation of 5 million liras was set aside for the sports equipment needs of schools.
Protection of Water Resources and Smart Meters
In addition to sports investments, projects aimed at protecting water resources were also addressed at the meeting. It was stated that smart meter systems are actively used in 20 of the 22 villages under the Special Provincial Administration.
Pond Capacities and Infrastructure Works
It was reported that approximately 3 million cubic meters of water are stored in 19 ponds across the city, and it is targeted to increase this capacity to 3 million 185 thousand cubic meters with new projects. The total magnitude of current and planned pond investments reaches 900 million liras.
