Squad Rotation and On-Field Performance Criticized
Sports columnists Attila Gokce and Bilal Mese criticized head coach Italiano's rotation choices ahead of the Zalgiris match. Gokce stated that Besiktas had a bad day and that Taylan, Ndidi, Agbadou, and Trossard failed to rise above mediocre.
Asena Ozkan emphasized that Besiktas, which dominated the first half, surrendered to their opponents of limited strength in the second half. Ozkan noted that Taylan Bulut's inadequacy on the right wing also negatively affected Vaclav Cerny's game and that the player failed to meet expectations.
Referee Decisions and Controversial Incidents
