Financial aid of 500,000 liras has been given to painter Murat Melih Özen, whose 20 years of artworks were reduced to ashes due to fireworks launched during the Kasımpaşa-Trabzonspor match.
Financial support has been provided by the club to painter and musician Murat Melih Özen, whose 20 years of accumulated work burned down after a fire broke out in his home caused by fireworks launched near the stadium during the match between Kasımpaşa and Trabzonspor.
Fireworks Launched Near Stadium Caused Fire in House
A fire broke out on August 15 during the match in the home of painter Murat Melih Özen, who lives in an apartment near the Kasımpaşa Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium in Istanbul.
Fire Department Report Detected Fireworks Residue
Inspecting the scene, fire department teams reported that metal remnants belonging to fireworks launched from outside during the match were found in the apartment and that the fire started for this reason.
500 Thousand Lira Aid from Kasımpaşa Sports Club
Following the unfortunate incident, financial aid of 500,000 liras was delivered to the victimized artist by Kasımpaşa Sports Club as a result of initiatives by the AK Party Istanbul Provincial Vice Chairmen.
The Artist's Years of Works Reduced to Ashes
Due to the fire, the artist's oil paintings, painting materials, guitars, diplomas, and all documents prepared for an exhibition he planned to open became completely unusable.
