Suspect in Mersin Gym Attack Released

The incident took place on the afternoon of June 5 at a gym located on Ali Kaya Mutlu Street in the Çiftlikköy neighborhood of Mersin's Yenişehir district. An argument broke out for an undetermined reason between Aylin D., who came to the gym, and Kürşat T.

Moments of Choking Captured on Camera

As the argument escalated, Kürşat T. attacked Aylin D. by choking her. With the intervention of another woman present in the gym at the time, the suspect was removed from the scene, and these moments were captured by security cameras.

Detention and Judicial Process

Following the incident and upon Aylin D.'s complaint, police teams took action upon the instructions of the Public Prosecutor and detained Kürşat T. The suspect, having completed procedures at the police station, was referred to the courthouse.

Judicial Control Decision

The suspect Kürşat T., who was referred to the courthouse, was released under judicial control conditions by the duty magistrate.
