The Turkish Football Federation Arbitration Board examined the appeals against the penalties issued by the Professional Football Disciplinary Board and upheld the sanctions given to Galatasaray Head Coach Okan Buruk and player Lesley Ugochukwu.

The Penalty Confirmation Process

The Turkish Football Federation Arbitration Board reviewed the appeal files regarding the decisions made by the Professional Football Disciplinary Board and reached a final decision.

Okan Buruk's Penalty

The 1-match official match ban from entering the locker room and the substitute bench, along with a 100,000 lira fine imposed on Galatasaray Head Coach Okan Buruk for unsportsmanlike conduct toward the referee after receiving a red card during the Trendyol Super League week 6 match against Trabzonspor, has been finalized.

It was stated that the penalty given to the experienced coach was based on the relevant articles of the Football Disciplinary Instruction.

Lesley Ugochukwu's Penalty

The 2-official-match suspension given to player Lesley Chimuanya Ugochukwu, who was also sent off with a red card in the same match, was unanimously upheld by the Arbitration Board.

It was stated that the player's penalty was applied on the grounds of a serious foul against an opponent team player.

Fine Imposed on the Club

Within the framework of the evaluations made, the 350,000 lira fine imposed on the Galatasaray Club due to ugly and bad cheering caused by its fans was also among the confirmed decisions.
