The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Board has officially announced the penalties imposed on Fenerbahçe players and clubs due to the incidents during the Champions League play-off round second leg against Lyon.

Penalties Given to Guendouzi and Greenwood

It was announced that Matteo Guendouzi was given a 50,000 euro fine as well as a 4-match ban. It was stated that two of these penalties will be valid this season, while the other two will be subject to a one-year probationary period. Mason Greenwood received a 30,000 euro fine and a 1-match suspended ban.

Fines Imposed on Fenerbahçe and Lyon Clubs

In the statement made by UEFA, it was expressed that Fenerbahçe was given a total fine of 85,000 euro due to various incidents that took place. It was announced to the public that the opposing team Lyon was fined a total of 108,500 euro.

Critical Matches Guendouzi Will Miss

Fenerbahçe will host Roma at home in their first UEFA Champions League match on Tuesday, September 10. The Yellow-Navys will then face Aston Villa away on October 14, and Guendouzi will not be able to play in these two encounters.
