Ümraniye Athletes Rewarded at the 2nd Traditional Golden Cup Night
Athletes of the Ümraniye Municipality Sports Club who achieved success in national and international tournaments throughout the year received their awards.
Successful athletes, coaches, and members of the press who won medals in the national and international arenas under the Ümraniye Municipality Sports Club came together at the 2nd Traditional Golden Cup Night.
Golden Cup Night Held
The 2nd Traditional Golden Cup Night, celebrating the success of Ümraniye Municipality Sports Club athletes in the national and international arenas, was hosted by Mayor İsmet Yıldırım.
Numerous prominent figures from the sports world and protocol attended the ceremony held at the Trabzon Nation's Garden Yavuz Selim Tuncer Sports Facilities.
1,081 Medals Won
A total of 1,661 athletes competing in 21 different branches within Ümraniye Municipality demonstrated great success in official and private competitions they participated in.
These athletes won a total of 381 gold, 314 silver, and 386 bronze medals, bringing a total of 1,081 medals to the club.
Protocol and Participants
Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Enes Eminoğlu also attended the meaningful night and did not leave the successful athletes alone.
In addition, AK Party Central Decision and Executive Board (MKYK) members Mesut Özil and Hilmi Türkmen, as well as Turkish Football Federation President İbrahim Ethem Hacıosmanoğlu, took part in the night.
Athletes of the Year Rewarded
During the night, the Female Athlete of the Year Award in Ümraniye was presented to Sema Nur Yüksel, and the Male Athlete of the Year Award was presented to Mustafa Abacıoğlu.
While Hande Baladın was deemed worthy of the Female Athlete of the Year award, the Breakthrough Male Athlete of the Year award went to Hüseyin Emre Sakçı.
Lifetime Achievement Awards
Lifetime Achievement Awards found their owners at the night where leading figures of the sports community were honored.
These prestigious awards were presented to successful Manager Abdullah Avcı and Ogün Temizkanoğlu.
