Victims of Batman Gym Fire Laid to Rest
Three suspects have been detained in the investigation launched after a fire broke out in the sauna section of a gym in Batman, resulting in 3 deaths and 9 injuries.
While the funeral services were held for the three individuals who lost their lives in the fire at a gym sauna in Batman, the treatment of nine injured individuals and the investigation processes continue.
Origin of the Fire and Response
A fire broke out yesterday evening for reasons yet undetermined in the sauna section of a gym located in Gültepe Neighborhood. The flames were brought under control and extinguished through the intervention of teams dispatched to the scene.
Condition of the Injured and Casualties
A total of twelve people affected by the fire, including three in critical condition, were taken to surrounding hospitals. Despite all interventions at the hospital, Şanzime Sarıgül, Emine Yani, and Gülsüm Öztekin Tunç could not be saved and lost their lives.
Found to Be Institution Employees
It was learned that Şanzime Sarıgül and Emine Yani, among those who lost their lives, worked at the Children's Homes Site affiliated with the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services.
Detention Decisions and Investigation
Law enforcement forces, launching an investigation following the tragedy, detained the business owner along with two employees regarding the incident, and investigations are ongoing.
