Works Began for the New Sports Campus in Erzurum
Foundation excavations are underway for the giant sports complex tendered by TOKİ, which includes a stadium, an indoor sports hall, and an Olympic swimming pool.
Excavation and earthmoving work has officially started for the giant campus, which is being implemented as the second largest sports investment in the history of the Republic and features the New Erzurum Stadium, a 5,000-capacity sports hall, and a fully Olympic swimming pool.
Earthmoving Works Inspected On Site
Erzurum Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Levent Çakmur and Sports Services Manager Erdoğan Dönmez closely monitored the foundation excavation and earth removal work at the new sports campus site to be built on Mehmet Sekmen Street in Ömer Nasuhi Bilmen Neighborhood.
The Second Largest Investment in History
Following the facilities built within the scope of UNIVERSIADE in 2011, this mega project holds the distinction of being the second largest sports facility investment to be brought to Erzurum by the state.
Tender and Contract Process
The tender held by TOKİ took place on August 12, 2026, and following the completion of the process, the contract was signed on August 26, 2026. The contract value of the project was announced as 5 billion 800 million TL.
