World Motocross Championship to Be Held for the Ninth Time in Afyonkarahisar
The World Motocross Championship and NG Afyon Motofest will meet sports fans at the Afyonkarahisar Motor Sports Center on September 2-6.
Turkish Motorcycle Federation Vice President Mahmut Nedim Akülke announced that the World Motocross Championship will be held in Afyonkarahisar on September 2-6, simultaneously with the NG Afyon Motofest.

According to the statement made by Turkish Motorcycle Federation Vice President Mahmut Nedim Akülke, the organization will take place at the Afyonkarahisar Motor Sports Center on September 2-6.

The city of Afyonkarahisar will continue an important tradition by hosting this prestigious international organization for the ninth time in total.
Race Categories and Number of Athletes
Within the scope of the championship, competitions will be held in a total of 4 different categories: MX1 seniors, MX2 juniors, MX1 European seniors, and MX2 European juniors. Between one hundred and forty and one hundred and sixty athletes are expected to participate in the event.
Tourism and Participant Goals
Among the main objectives of the organization are developing sports tourism and hosting hundreds of thousands of people throughout the five-day event.
