Yıldırım Municipality provided sports and education support to hundreds of thousands of people in the last 7 years
Modern sports facilities and resource-rich libraries implemented by Yıldırım Municipality opened their doors to millions of citizens in a short time.
Carrying out a wide range of activities from sports to education, Yıldırım Municipality provided sports services to 384,000 citizens in the last 7 years, while the district's libraries hosted 2.5 million visitors.
An Attraction Center for Youth
Yıldırım Municipality continues to stand by young people in every aspect of life, from sports to education, cultural activities to social life. With the projects implemented, the district has been transformed into an attraction center for young people.
Facilities Opened for Service
To ensure that young people lead a healthy life intertwined with sports, the Naim Süleymanoğlu Sports Complex, Yıldırım Youth and Sports Center, Mimar Sinan Sports Facility, Dr. Sadık Ahmet Sports Facility, and many other facilities were opened for service. In addition, numerous sports fields were brought to the district.
Distribution of Sports Services
In the last 7 years, 254,000 children in summer and winter sports schools, 40,000 children in social responsibility projects, 84,000 women in women's sports centers, 2,500 men in men's sports centers, and 3,500 special children and their families in special education studies received sports services.
Medals and Trophies
Thanks to the opportunities provided by the municipality, athletes from Yıldırım have achieved success by winning a total of 4,548 medals and 225 trophies in national and international competitions they participated in so far.
High Interest in Libraries
Mümine Şeremet Never-Sleeping Library, Mimar Sinan Library, Mimar Sinan Children's Library, Dr. Sadık Ahmet Youth Center Library, and Yıldırım Youth Library brought a new breath of fresh air to urban life. With their rich book varieties and comfortable spaces, these centers hosted 2.5 million visitors.
